Finally! Scarlett Makes Her Debut!

WOW!  Finally I am here to introduce to you...Scarlett Diane Chamness!  Born on November 4th at 12:54pm.  7 pounds 11 ounces!

And...she is already 1 month old. I feel terrible for not posting a single thing until now, however, I realize that all of you mom's out there that tried to tell me that having more than one child at home is SUPER DUPER hard were NOT LYING and I should have paid better attention!

Don't mistake me...I am ever so grateful for all three of my beautiful girls, but man this is hard!  I am not even going to pretend that I know what I am doing!  It has been quite the adjustment and the learning of how to multi task and parent more than one child at a time will never stop!

It's crazy around here each day...

But one thing is for sure...Gabby is a great Big Sister, is Very Helpful and Loves to

Hold...
Hold...
Hold...
her baby sister, Scarlett!  She has to get her "Scarlett Time" in each day.  Gabby is also really great at tending to Scarlett when she loses her pacifier, etc.  Gabby really does not like it when she cries and I can sense that because Gabby will start to act out and be sort of loud when Scarlett is upset.  Funny how that works I think.  I have a feeling the two girls are going to have a great relationship.  Gabby is able to calm Scarlett with her singing voice and words better than me sometimes!  Can you tell by my words that we possibly have a colicky baby on our hands.  Yes!  The pediatrician is not ready to diagnose it at "collic" yet, however, we are definitely on that path and Scarlett fits the profile!  Poor baby!  Anyways, the girls already have a strong bond and I LOVE IT!

And this is pretty precious too...
Be Back Soon...With Scarlett's Newborn Pictures and Christmas Photos too!!  I am making progress slowly!!

Halloween=Fall=My Most Favorite Time of The Year!

Happy Halloween!

We have had a few parties this month so I thought I would do a recap today for the last couple weeks of October!  What better day than Halloween to do that right?!

I took Gabby's to Waterman's Pumpkin Patch a couple of Friday's ago.  We had a great time, just the two of us! I will admit now, after I did it, that taking the hayride out to the pumpkin patch was a crazy decision on my part.  Kind of like walking in the Homecoming parade a month ago also, but who was watching?  My OBGYN!!!  Oops!  Anyways, Gabby and I had a great time!  Take a look...

Petting Zoo...Gabby was so excited about being CLOSE to the animals!

Hay Makes Gabby Happy!

Gabby Loved Her Pony Ride!

On Thursday, Gabby had her Halloween party at preschool.  I volunteered closer to the beginning of school to help out with the Halloween party at her school.  When the reminder email came out...I smiled really big(LOL) and threw on my game face...38 weeks pregnant...and had a great time!  Each time I volunteer I meet new parents and love it in the end that I had the opportunity to be with Gabby for these special times!

Rapunzel!

Party Time!

We also had my Mom's Group Halloween party on Friday!  Gabby was adorable as Rapunzel!  When we were getting dressed to go I came out dressed as a pumpkin and surprised her!  She had no clue I was dressing up for the party and was speechless when she saw me!  Her face was priceless and her smile was something I will never forget.  These are the moments that are worth the sweat and un-comfort because in the end if it made her day and made her happy I would wear it everyday!

Gabby and Mommy(the pumpkin)
Tonight was trick or treating!
MaMa and Grandad made chili and the fix-ins and we celebrated as a family! This is something we look forward to each year!  Gabby made her rounds with MaMa and Grampy.
Grandad and Jeff passed out Dr Pepper to all of the neighborhood trick or treaters.  So fun!  Grammy and Uncle Nick stopped by too!  I am so thankful that Gabby is very loved(and very spoiled).  I will admit that I am contributing to that currently and probably will in the next few days before our world is forever changed again...in a great way!!!  I am expecting behavior issues to arise(more than they have already)as I know they will with a new member joining the family and a little bit of the attention focused on baby.

Gabby...I love you with all of my heart!  You are my middle child...a miracle in my life and I could not imagine the ride of my life without you!  I love you to the Moon and back!

Have A Great Week Everyone!

Nursery Pictures!

I am back!

And I have pictures of the nursery if you want to see them.  The baby's room is 90% complete!  I am satisfied, for sure, if I were to go into labor this second!  However, there are still some small things to be done.  Things to be hung on the walls, steam curtains and some tie backs for the curtains.  But, these are things that can be done this week.

MaMa and Grandad ordered the wall decal to go above the crib and I CAN'T WAIT for that to come in so we can show that too!  Otherwise...here are some pictures of the nursery!

I decided pretty early on in this pregnancy that I wanted to make the layette.  Jeff bought me a sewing machine for my birthday in April and the rest in history!  I love to sew now...even though I am not as good at it as the layette looks!  My mother in law, Doris, is the professional however and helped me with my project.  She helped me measure, told me where to cut, etc.  But, I did sew when it came time too!  So proud...can't you tell by my bragging!  There is just something about sewing.  I guess it's a sense of ownership, a sense of accomplishment, a sense of "I Did This" and "It's Mine"!

And last but definitely not least...Gabby!  Sporting her "BIG SISTER" outfit that she will wear this Friday when we meet our newest little girl and her little SISTER!  We can't wait!

Quick Post...

I know it has been FOREVER since my last post!  I have had "to do" lists for a while now preparing for Baby #3.  Slowly but surely I am making progress.

Here is Gabby hard at work on her project!  I decided to pick up some canvas boards a few months back.  I thought it would be fun to let her paint something for her room while we were busy decorating the baby's room!  The canvas's turned out SO CUTE!

The Finished Product!

The whole project took an entire morning...which is a pretty long time to keep a 4 year old entertained!  We survived!  With many breaks of course ;).

Gabby also got a new headboard and her monogram over her bed!
This was my first go round with a headboard and I think it turned out pretty good?!  I really am into applique right now and my sewing machine has seen many long nights as a result!  Sewing is so therapeutic!

Here is a little picture of our latest little...
Doctor set the date for November 4th!  That is just three weeks from today and I can't believe it!  I can believe by the way I look...HUGE, however, the time has just flown by!  We are super excited to meet her!  Gabby can't stand the wait...

I hope to be back soon with a bigger update...maybe some pictures of the nursery?  Have a great weekend!

xoxo,
Katie
